Who We Are

Lindsay & District Labour Council – Unions working together to making our community fair for everyone.

Our territory consist of City of Kawartha Lakes and the County of Halibuton. We have 14 affiliated union locals with workers in health care, education, manufacturing, service sector, municipal, government sectors.

We organize events such as National Day of Mourning, Labour Day picnic, political lobbying, assist with CLC and OFL campaign, Food drives, help with local agencies events such as BigBrothers BigSisters bowl for Kids Sake, Lindsay fair parade and having a booth in the fair.

Executive

The 8 member elected Lindsay & District Labour Council Executive is made up of delegates from labour council affiliates in both the public and private sectors. These are volunteer positions and all members hold jobs where their union is certified. Meetings are also attended by the assigned representative from the Canadian Labour Congress.
